Tamiko was introduced to yoga as a form of exercise that felt more approachable and calming than the traditional gym setting. Over the years, her practice has expanded to include breathing meditation and other mindfulness tools that keep her centered in her day to day life as a wife, mother and case manager working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
As a Master of Social Work, she serves on the Resilient Yoga Programs management team with a heart for advocacy and support while upholding the ideals of self-determination and person-centered thinking during program development.
